Ian Bowers is an alt Americana singer/songwriter and guitarist who takes much of his artistic sensibility from the early years he spent strolling the gravel roads of northern New Mexico looking for cool rocks. The long vistas and wide expanses of his youth give his songs competing undercurrents of yearning and restfulness. Originally classically trained, Bowers’ guitar playing lends tasteful accompaniment to his lyricism, which ranges from impressionistic evocations of the natural world to finely rendered narratives.
